HIS has developed a robust infrastructure and set of processes that allows us to meet the demanding specifications of our hospital clients. We can provide them the following:
1. Dictation into our toll-free systems: We offer toll free access to our central dictation system. Physicians simply dial in and follow the prompts to begin dictating. Prompts can be customized to any that the hospital has used in the past.
2. Import Capability of Lanier, RTAS, DVI and Dictaphone voice files: We have the capability to import any files from the above systems by dialing in and retrieving the files. The hospital provides the necessary ports and assigns the files of the appropriate work types as and when they are dictated.
3. Batch report transmission via FTP transfer: We will return transcribed documents via our website, FTP transfer or other mutually agreeable data transmission software. The reports are uploaded in batches and a separate folder will be created for each batch within the FTP site. The hospital will download the reports at its convenience.
4. Interface capability: We will return transcribed medical records in the HL.7 format for interface with the hospital’s Chartscript or Meditech systems. The hospital will provide and support the necessary software modules for the HL7 interface.
5. Demographic data import capability: Demographic data can be transferred electronically to our servers from the ADT at the hospital. The hospital will format a data file containing the admissions, discharges, transfers, and census data on a daily basis.
6. Online viewing and editing: We will return all documents electronically in the specified format to the hospital. The hospital, using its own word processing software and desktop computers can directly edit any and all documents. We can also provide a formatted transaction containing data elements defined by the hospital, which could be used for tracking or performance monitoring.
7. Customized Formats: Reports will be transcribed in any format required, defined, and supplied by the hospital by report types and/ or facility. The hospital can provide custom templates or we can create the templates as per specifications. There will be no charge for new report formats or for changing formats.
